We became friends real fast
I almost thought it would never last,
But we learned about each other more
And our friendship never became a bore

You know how much this means to me
It’s a shame there wasn’t a chance to see,
We don’t want to set each other free
But we know this is all we’ll ever be

With my heart covered in tears,
I heard your shaky voice in my ears,
And all I can do is cry
When I heard the word goodbye
